Many Guests consider the Magic Kingdom to be the core of their Walt Disney World experience and spend lots of time enjoying all that the Disney Park has to offer. With classic attractions and shows that have been pleasing Guests since October 1, 1971, Guests can easily spend several days in the Magic Kingdom and still not see it all. A great way to enjoy all that the Disney Park has to offer is by sitting down for a table service meal, and there are several options to choose from with some outranking the others. Let’s look at the eight table service restaurants available in the Magic Kingdom and see why some are simply better than others.
1. Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen
The newest table service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom has easily jumped to the number one spot and become very popular with Guests thanks to its delicious cuisine and immersive atmosphere. The Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen is in Adventureland and continues the story of the nearby Jungle Cruise with its unique humor and quirky details. Open for lunch and dinner daily, Guests can dine on a menu of cuisine from Africa, South America, and Asia in either the large Mess Hall, Jungle Room, or S.E.A. Room. The Skippers have dedicated their humor to the menu as well with wonderful options including Lost and Found Soup, “Tastes like Chicken” Because it is!, and “Hardy Har Char” Siu Pork.

2. Cinderella’s Royal Table
Next up on the list of Magic Kingdom table service restaurants is Cinderella’s Royal Table, a stunning and immersive location inside of Cinderella Castle. Guests are sure to feel like royalty as they enter the castle and meet Cinderella before being led to a beautiful dining room with gothic arches, bright flags, and beautiful views of Fantasyland through stained glass windows. While dining on royal options like Banana-stuffed French Toast, Roasted Lamb Chops, and Grilled Filet Mignon, Guests can meet a rotation of Disney Princesses who stop for photos and autographs and love sharing stories of their kingdoms.

3. Be Our Guest Restaurant
A second opportunity to dine inside a castle can be found in Fantasyland at Be Our Guest Restaurant. This table service location is open daily for lunch and dinner and welcomes Guests into the Beast’s Castle straight from Beauty and the Beast. Guests can dine in the West Wing, Rose Gallery, or Grand Ballroom on traditional French cuisine from a prix-fixe menu with options including Short Rib Beef Bourguignon and Roasted Poulet Rouge Chicken. Guests are sure to feel as though Lumiere is going to appear and begin singing at any moment, and if they are lucky, they might even spot the Beast himself!
4. The Crystal Palace
Buffet fans will love dining at The Crystal Palace, a beautiful and airy restaurant located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. Designed to feel like a Victorian-style greenhouse, The Crystal Palace welcomes Guests to a celebration of friendship with Winnie the Pooh and Friends who stop by each table for photos and autographs. The highlight of The Crystal Palace is of course the food, and Guests can enjoy as much as they would like with options including Churro-flavored Mickey Waffles, a carving station, pastries, salads, vegetables, and much more.

5. The Plaza Restaurant
Also found at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. is The Plaza Restaurant, the smallest table service location in the Magic Kingdom that serves up a menu of American favorites in Victorian charm. Open for lunch and dinner, Guests can dine on options like the Plaza Loaded Fries, Pot Roast Stack, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and Chicken Waldorf Salad while taking in beautiful views of Main Street, U.S.A. and Cinderella Castle. The Plaza Restaurant also earns some points for a dessert menu that features delicious ice cream creations from The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor next door.
6. Liberty Tree Tavern
An often-overlooked table service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom is Liberty Tree Tavern in the heart of Liberty Square. This unique location is designed to feel like a colonial inn and serves up a lunch and dinner menu that makes every day feel like Thanksgiving. Each room of the restaurant celebrates a figure of American history including Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson and Guests can check out historical memorabilia while enjoying the family-style meal. With offerings including roasted turkey, herbed stuffing, macaroni and cheese, oven-roasted pot roast, and more, a hearty and traditional feast can always be found at Liberty Tree Tavern.
7. The Diamond Horseshoe
Found next door to Liberty Tree Tavern is The Diamond Horseshoe, another table service restaurant that is themed to feel like a music hall from the Old West. Featuring one large room overlooking a stage with a wrap around balcony above, this restaurant is charming but not as immersive as Liberty Tree Tavern. It also serves up the exact same menu as next door, making it a backup option if Guests can’t score the original reservation they want.
8. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Coming in last on the list of table service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom is Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. Let’s start by saying that there is nothing that is wrong about this location, there are just so many better options for traditional Italian cuisine throughout Walt Disney World. Inspired by the beloved restaurant in Lady and the Tramp, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant features Victorian elements, an airy dining room, and an outdoor porch that offers up some great parade views and people watching on Main Street, U.S.A. The lunch and dinner menus feature items like Spaghetti and Meatballs, Oven-roasted Shrimp Scampi, and Chicken Parmigiana, and while they’re not bad, they’re not great either.
