Places to Nap in the Magic Kingdom

Every year millions of Guests enjoy a vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, and while the trips can be magical, they are also exhausting. When you combine endless experiences to enjoy with lots and lots of walking, high temperatures, and long days, you get some tired and cranky Guests. A great way to avoid burning out in the Disney Parks is by taking a quick nap. Some Guests prefer to return to their Disney Resorts to do so, but others don’t want to spend that much time away from the Disney Parks. Luckily, each Disney Park has some pretty great places to sneak in a quick nap for Guests who need a little air conditioning and energy boost. Let’s check out some of the best options for a nap in the Magic Kingdom. Happy snoozing!

The Hall of Presidents

The ultimate nap spot in the Magic Kingdom can be found in Liberty Square. The Hall of Presidents welcomes Guests into a large theater where the history of the Presidency is told through a film with a dramatic revealing of every President in audio-animatronic form. While the show is worth watching, Guests who are looking to nap can enjoy cushioned seats, air conditioning, a dark theater, and twenty-five minutes of peace. The Hall of Presidents is the best spot to nap when needing a break in the Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

Coming up in a close second for the best place to nap in the Magic Kingdom is Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. Found in Tomorrowland, this innovative attraction brings Guests into a theater that rotates around a central series of stages. The show follows one family through a century and showcases how progress and technology have improved life. Nearly twenty minutes in length, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is a great air-conditioned place to sink into comfortable chairs and nap. It is worth noting that some Guests might be woken by the theater’s rotations or the signature song “There A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” between each scene.

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

Also found in Tomorrowland is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover which offers a unique opportunity to take a nap outside in the Magic Kingdom. This highway in the sky whisks Guests around the area offering a tour of multiple attractions while moving at a soothing pace. With a gentle breeze, shade, and the chance to literally put their feet up, Guests can catch a pretty good nap on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. Extra points go to when the attraction passes through Space Mountain and there are several minutes of near darkness!

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Those who aren’t bothered by noise can also enjoy a good nap over in Adventureland. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room welcomes Guests into a tropical theater in the round where birds, plants, and tikis serenade them from above. The seats are technically benches that aren’t as comfortable as theater seats, but with pumping air conditioning and dimmed lighting it is possible to take a nap during the fifteen-minute show. The only thing to note is that Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is a musical show, so there will be loud numbers and even a thunderstorm which can interrupt precious nap time.

Country Bear Musical Jamboree

The Country Bear Musical Jamboree in Frontierland is very similar to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room in terms of naps. Guests enter Grizzly Hall where many different musical acts perform Disney favorites with country twists. The show runs fifteen minutes, features bench-style seating and offers up some great air conditioning. However, the musical numbers can be loud which can interrupt naps. Those who are not bothered by noise though can absolutely enjoy a solid nap at the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic

The final spot to get in a good nap in the Magic Kingdom is Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. This twelve minute 3D show uses special effects to follow Donald on a journey through various favorite Disney animated films as he tries to catch Mickey’s enchanted hat. The theater itself is always cool and features comfortable cushioned seating, however there are elements throughout the show including gusts of air, loud noises, and sprays of water that might wake Guests up.
