Kicking off the list is one of the newest and most advanced attractions in Walt Disney World. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT brings Guests into space where they battle a new villain alongside the Guardians. With innovative ride vehicles which can rotate three hundred and sixty degrees, a backward launch, and smooth twists and turns, this unforgettable roller coaster packs some big thrills.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios perfectly combines physical thrills with psychological scares. Guests enter the eerie Hollywood Tower Hotel and step into another dimension before finding themselves at the mercy of a service elevator. With randomized sequences that lift Guests up for several rounds of weightless drops, Guests will find themselves both scared and thrilled.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Also in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith which is soon to be revamped to feature the Muppets. This attraction launches Guests from zero to sixty-five miles per hour in a matter of seconds and boasts the only inversions in Walt Disney World. With changes and updates on the way, the new Muppet version of this attraction is sure to keep the same big thrills!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios brings Guests to the planet of Batuu where they can enjoy a thrilling and immersive attraction. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance features multiple pre-shows where Guests find themselves on an escape transport that is captured by the First Order before coming face to face with Kylo Ren. Once on the actual attraction, big thrills come in the form of trying to escape a Star Destroyer and Kylo Ren before crash landing on a planet.

TRON Lightcycle / Run

TRON Lightcycle / Run in the Magic Kingdom offers Guests the chance to enter the Grid on Team Blue to compete against an enemy program. With a high-speed launch, brief outdoor portion, and the challenge of passing through eight energy gates, TRON Lightycycle / Run is the biggest thrill that Guests can enjoy in the Magic Kingdom. Bonus points for riding at night when the outdoor portion is even more thrilling thanks to special lighting on the overhead canopy!

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

The Asia area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is dominated by a massive mountain that Guests can enjoy big thrills inside of. Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain begins with Guests trying to use a shortcut through the mountains before coming face to face with the Yeti. The protector of the mountain then causes chaos that sends Guests barreling backwards in darkness and down a very steep hill for high-speed thrills.

Space Mountain

The Magic Kingdom is home to a trio of thrilling mountains beginning with Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. This futuristic adventure launches Guests from Starport 75 into the blackness of space where twists, turns, and drops are total surprises. Adding to the thrills are the sounds of other Guests yelling as well as stars and planetary objects whizzing by at high speed!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The second mountain in the Magic Kingdom is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Frontierland. Guests board logs and set off into the bayou to help Tiana find musicians for her big party. Along the way there are several small drops, some Mama Odie magic that shrinks Guests, and one final plunge five stories back to Tiana’s. Guests will love the thrill of getting wet paired with catchy music and an unforgettable finale scene.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the final mountain in the Magic Kingdom and is also found in Frontierland. Once on board a runaway train, Guests set off into the mines of the town of Tumbleweed where twists, turns, explosions, and more are waiting. Featuring beautiful views of the Rivers of America and classic moments like passing through the actual town, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a favorite of many.

Slinky Dog Dash

The final big thrill that Guests should enjoy at Walt Disney World is Slinky Dog Dash. This fun and vibrant roller coaster can be found in Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and was built by Andy himself. Featuring two launch sequences, camel back humps, fun toys and characters all around, and a surprise ending, Slinky Dog Dash is a big thrill!
