Any trip to Walt Disney World is filled with fun and adventure, but there are also plenty of opportunities to learn throughout the four Disney Parks. Educational experiences may sound boring in theory, but one thing that the Disney Parks does well is combining entertainment with education, to make it feel fun to learn. Here are some of the best educational experiences throughout Walt Disney World where Guests can learn while having fun!
The Hall of Presidents

Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom brings the colonial era of the United States to life with an educational experience for Guests. The Hall of Presidents shares the story of the presidency beginning with George Washington through a mix of medias. The finale of the show features a stunning scene of all presidents standing together as one on stage and includes an example of the Oath of Office as well as a speech by the current sitting president. In addition to the educational show, while waiting in the lobby Guests can check out artifacts and items that belonged to presidents and learn about their legacies.
The American Adventure

Like The Hall of Presidents, The American Adventure in EPCOT brings history to life through a moving presentation. This larger-than-life stage show features a combination of audio-animatronics, art, media, music, and more to bring the story of the American people to life. Spanning from the Mayflower to the present day, the attraction shares both the victories and struggles of the people in engaging and entertaining ways. Guests can also enjoy The American Heritage Gallery in the lobby where rotating displays continue the story through artifacts and displays.

World Showcase

The American Adventure is only a small part of EPCOT’s World Showcase which is itself a massive educational experience. Each of the eleven pavilions transports Guests to s country around the world using architecture, culture, music, art, and more. Guests can learn so much about each country and its people by wandering through each pavilion, sampling food, checking out art exhibits, enjoying shows, and so much more.
Living with the Land

Continuing EPCOT’s mission of education, Guests can enjoy learning about responsible agriculture on Living with the Land. Found in World Nature, this serene journey brings Guests through various environments to showcase how the land can survive in all kinds of conditions. Guests then learn about the future of agriculture through a series of greenhouses filled with examples of sustainable growing techniques. With beautiful scenery, Living with the Land teaches Guests so much in an entertaining way.

Spaceship Earth

Spaceship Earth has long been a highlight in EPCOT for many Guests, and it is also a very educational experience. Beginning with the dawn of time, the attraction brings Guests on a journey through the history of communication. Using music, audio-animatronics, and a narration by Dame Judi Dench, Spaceship Earth shares so much knowledge and information with Guests in a fun way. Just remember to thank the Phoenicians.
The Seas with Nemo and Friends

The final educational experience in EPCOT is The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion. This massive pavilion is home to one of the largest aquariums in the world, and Guests can wander through exhibits and interactive areas that aim to teach them about the oceans and their inhabitants. With fun play areas for kids, a free scavenger hunt, quiet observation areas, and so many chances to read and learn about ocean animals, this entire pavilion is an educational way to spend time in EPCOT!
Kilimanjaro Safaris

Moving over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro Safaris is a very popular attraction with Guests. The attraction brings Guests on an authentic safari through the Harambe Reserve where they come face to face with dozens of animal species while a live driver provides a narration in real time. In addition to providing unforgettable animal encounters, Kilimanjaro Safaris also shares information about each animal while stressing the importance of conservation.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch

Conservation is also stressed at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, a remote area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom that can only be reached via the Wildlife Express Train. The area is home to the Conservation Station where Guests can learn about the various ways that Disney Park helps to protect and care for its animal inhabitants as well as the planet. Guests can enjoy glimpses into veterinary procedures, feeding protocols, conservation efforts, and more in addition to the nearby Affection Section where they can pet some friendly animals. Rafiki’s Planet Watch is a great way to learn more about the importance of conservation while having fun.
